The Best Jeans For You And Me

After many years of trial and error, I feel obliged and informed enough to carry on what I have learned about different brands of jeans. Though every body type is different, I feel I have tried on various types for all kinds of bodies. Curvy, straight and in between. So this is the knowledge I am sharing. I hope it bids you well.

May you find the best jeans for you- in 2012 and beyond...

Onto The Next One

2011 has been one interesting year... In fashion, in news and in my life as well. It's nice to look back and reflect on the trends, the good and the bad. It's also exciting to think about what awaits us in the future. I hope 2012 will be an even better year. I have a feeling it will.

In the meantime- here's a look back....

L.E.S.

With a little help from New Yrok Magazine I discovered some "New Favorite" and "On my list to go" places on the Lower East Side.  Some clothing, some cool stuff, mostly good eats...but there is so much to explore!  Though it isn't as esthetically beautiful as say the West Village or Uptown by Central Park, it's got an edgy, lived in neighborhood vibe.

Graffiti on some walls, that I think are intentionally left there, some not so clean streets, leave the Lower East Side a safe haven to their local residents.  But tourists are coming.  It's targeted as the up and coming spot and with great neighbors such as Nolita and Noho- it is not that hard to see how.

These are some of the places I have got my eye on...as well as my teeth....such as The Dressing Room- part shop/part bar!  GENIUS.

Foreign Affair

I love where I live.... But sometimes you just have to stop and pay homage to those who create and inspire from abroad. Europe is always ahead of the trends and South America always designs with spice and fire. Italy and India allure us with their sexiness and shine.

So this post is all about our fashion friends across the sea.
Friends in my head... Or hopefully one day friends in my closet!

Greetings and much love from North America!

Sweater Weather

Sweater weather is here...officially.  If you live in the North East, you have your winter gear ready.  The dreams of 60 degrees are over and its time to whip out the gloves.  The fun part about the cold is the cute sweaters and jackets you can wear- something's got to be worth it....

All The Pretty Things....

Everything seems extra shiny right now.  Silver, gold and shimmer.  Maybe its the time of year, and retailers are subliminally selling to us...telling us what to buy.  Then again they always do that... but lately my eye seems to be attracted to anything reflective.  My make-up is a little more sparkly, I am obssessing over a Rose Gold anything....and well jewelry is not always first on my list- (strange for a girl I know) but I've actually got a recurring theme dancing in my head.

The dresses, the sweaters and bags seem to have a "girly bows and ribbons" thing going on too.  Whether it's food or fashion- I am being drawn to anything pink and frilly.  Anything icy shiny.  I just can't help myself.

Everything is just so darn pretty!  Take a closer look.
