These past few months being stuck at home has been both rough and relaxing- simultaneously.  There is something about not having to get all glammed up every day, dealing with people and sitting in traffic.  However, I have been finding myself a bit gloomy here and there. I know that feeling the blues is a normal thing during such a stressful and scary time. Covid has changed our lives.  So what I did to keep my creative energy going was turn to Instagram and Pinterest, posting pictures and videos that helped me get all of that creative energy out and also feel like I’m working on something for myself. I don’t draw, I wish I did, - I’m so jealous of that talent! But I love fashion and home decor and pictures. I also love to write. So this was the best way to take a break from everyday life and revel in a little escapism. 

   I’m sure some people wonder why or how I’ve made the time to do this. But it is pretty satisfying and actually is a serotonin boost. If somebody needs a little lift, being creative is the way to accomplish that. Some people cook, or bake, some sing and design. We all have something that makes us feel better. Why not just take out a little time to do just that? 

What can I say? Instagram is my escape. Don’t judge. 😉 Just find your escape too. 

It has actually been quite a lovely week, I am trying to live in the moment, laugh as much as I can and reflect on all the good things in life.  I have a sense of peace and tranquility.  I got a nice little boost and feel like I've got a little extra sparkle in the reserve tank.  Not to say everything has been peaches and cream but for some reason I'm just going with it. Whatever it is.

Sometimes my favorite space in my house is my little office nook.  (Most of the time it's my bed or my treadmill) but I purposely made our office light and bright.  The sun coming through the windows everyday certainly helps. So does the light wall color and the white furniture. It's calming (for paying bills), relaxing (for web surfing) and keeps you focused (for writing).  I change my inspiration board every so often depending on the trends, what makes me happy and what I'm craving. It's nice to glance up from my computer screen and see pretty things.

Whether you are at work or at play in your office- it should just be plain pretty... Cuz... Why not?

The temps are dropping day by day here in the Northeast.  With highs of 42 and lows of 28 with a wind chill, it's no wonder most of us are hiding indoors.  So to take my mind off the blustery weather I have been keeping warm and cozy with delicious coffee flavors, some rich dark chocolate and the cutest sweaters.
