Do we have a choice? Summer is over despite the few weird 80 degree days we are getting out of nowhere. I know we will take it though because we know soon there will be...dare I say it? Snow. Yes I said it.  I'm expecting it and trying to not freak out. This end of Summer is a little sadder than usual for baseball fans as Derek Jeter is officially gone too. The end of an era. Yankee games will never feel the same. But change must happen, change is good they say.  I'm trying to adapt the same line of thinking.  I adore change - when I am ready for it and when things are changing in a direction that I like.  Isn't that everyone though?

Styles change, the earth changes, we ourselves change and so I guess instead of fighting it,
we need to welcome it...

Where is the time going? I have mixed feelings about Fall being on Summer's heels.  I suppose Fall is my favorite season when it comes to clothes but when it comes to play - Summer is the one... (That's probably the case for most of us).  I guess there's nothing we can do but just roll with it now.  September will be here before we know it.  And along with that, cooler temps - which if you haven't noticed seem pretty anxious to greet us.  The mornings have that crisp cool feeling in the air like when as a kid, you knew the first day of school was coming.

The first true sign was when it felt good to open up the windows and let the fresh air in- no more stifling heat, the AC could take a break for a while.  It is what it is here in the NorthEast.  I guess I wouldn't have it any other way.  I'll take the ever changing seasons to be living in an ever changing area.  Where else can you go to the beach, the city and all that's in between in one weekend?

So If you haven't done, seen or heard what you wanted so far, well it's time - use your time wisely before the cold air blows in....(and then you'll need a cute sweater.)  Anyhoo- this is what I've been up to, what about you?

A fun way to update your wardrobe is to throw in a little splash of color...but maybe the shoes are too much, the purse is not your taste or you can't imagine yourself in a dress that color.
Maybe none of these colors are your "colors"- but you CAN do them in a nail color.  Like this:

I am officially obsessed with the Rag & Bone Newbury Bootie.  Ever since I saw them gracing celeb feet I did my research and they all came back wearing the same style.  The Classic Newbury boot.  Now I've walked past the Rag & Bone store in the West Village hundreds of times- and while my interest was peaked, I never was beckoned to walk in.  Well now- they are all that I look for.  I've got my eye on these boots in particular- but with a $695.00 price tag- I am a little hesitant.  Especially since the style has a little bit of a western flare going on- but it just won me over.  So- I searched high and low for a similar style for less- kind of like a try on before you buy kind of thing.  If I love these- then I will go for the real deals- but for now- I am giving my look for less booties a trial run....I think they are pretty close though- what do you think?
