{The Choice}

When things get tough, choose your action wisely...

We got devastating news about our little Coconut that she is sick again.  This disease just doesn't want to let up- I thought we beat it, or at least had it under control but it turns out it came back with a vengeance.

I'm hoping that she is stronger than it is, even though she is so tiny.  I hate seeing her like this, it's not like her to not be barking, playing and enjoying her food. It has been scary and some days I lose hope, but I pick myself up and keep going because so far, she is too.

So until I can think straight, I will be taking a little break from blogging.  I will be concentrating on her and trying to get her healthy again.  Please keep us in your thoughts and  prayers. I hope I will have good news to report soon.

{Soaking it all in}

July is just hurrying along isn't it?  Before we know it, it will be August and the whispers of Fall will be floating in the air.  I'm spending as much time as I can outside, I've got the burns to prove it-(silly sunblock spray doesn't work well in the wind). So I don't overdo it at the beach (who wants to look sun haggard?) I've split my time in NYC and checking out local spots too.  I finally got to two places that I have been meaning to get to in the past two years.  Spice Market in the Meatpacking district and Lola's right in Metuchen, New Jersey.  Did I mention I have been eating my way through July as well?

Manicures are a treat, but sometimes you just don't have the time to go and get one done professionally.  Is it me or are pedis way more important than manis?  Enter Julep.  Beautiful colors, products you can feel comfortable using (and not hacking up a storm from vapors) and professional looking results at home.

I'm digging these...
