Beach Babe

115 days and counting till Summer...am I in a hurry? No. Why rush getting older?  But I am in expectation of Summer and all the cute bathing suits, dresses and rompers that I could be frolicking in.

I am looking forward to getting a little color, seeing the ocean, walking a boardwalk or two.  All the delights of living on the East Coast. NJ in particular.  I dread using the term "Jersey Shore" because of the images it brings up....however, we in NJ love our shore for what it is.  A relaxing getaway.
I think I pretty much got all my summer essentials picked out.  Here's my list:

1. Nars Monoi Body Oil for a great after sun sheen  2. A cute dress to throw on for anything  3. A bright pair of jeans is A MUST!  4. A great pair of hoops  5. A romper- because- why not?  6.  A little bathing suit cover up for the beach  7. A saucy pair of patterned heel wedges- a big trend for the Summer and  lastly 8. A new pair of converse kicks with a twist!

Candy Coated

Ok so don't laugh but I thought I would change things up a bit and do an outfit post with a bit of a twist this week.  I fell head over heels for this pair of Iris Blue pumps and had fun thinking out of the box with what to pair them with. I also had this thing about making cake pops.

I bought a Babycakes cakepop maker and tried for the first time this weekend. As you can see, I need to hone my decorating skills...Nay, I need a cakepop class- Martha Stewart I am not... (FYI you need glaze not icing).  But nevermind reading the directions I say!

Nonetheless,  I took a cue from the colors of my cakepops to build an outfit for my shoes. This iris blue actually goes with a lot surprisingly- and with Spring around the corner one can easily find candy colored items, especially with cute patterns like flowers and birdies- my fave.

The weather has been somewhat cooperative too- no snow, no ice, not even much wind here in NJ lately...just plenty of sunshine.

Perfect for candy colored anything...

Weekend Goods

I needed some wardrobe and beauty refreshing. Makeup and fragrance are the perfect pick me ups... I don't typically use women's fragrance... I fear smelling too much like the next gal. So I try my hand at Men's fragrance and always score. (As long as my husband doesn't like it first- then I graciously leave it for him.)

However once I started to shop- it was hard to stop. (TYPICAL....)

So, I treated myself to a couple of other goodies I stumbled upon- take a peek.

Sunglasses by Coach

Eyeshadow in Jest, Lipstick in Gel and Paint Pot in Painterly
all from MAC Cosmetics

Heels by Jessica Simpson

The newest addition to my Men's fragrance collection:
Marc Jacobs

P.S.- The next post will be an outfit post with these killer blue JS heels...having fun pairing them with all sorts of colors!

Have a great weekend!

PIN-ception

I could spend hours on Pinterest. It's quickly becoming every Social Sharer's dreamy hobby. I am amazed at how many minutes flee while scrolling through beautiful images. And though I vow to keep my Pinterest addiction in check, I still am in love with the creativity and craftiness of my fellow pinners. You can draw so much inspiration from just one pin. An outfit, home design ideas, even delicious treats.

These were my latest PIN faves that I got inspired from -  click on the links below to see how!

These 5 Things...

There are many things that I love to shop for. But some things make me jump for joy like a little girl. Though it does not take much to get me to do that, when I get these things in particular right now- I get obssessive -compulsive...and keep wanting more of them.

For instance these 5 things:

1. Furniture and home accessories with unique patterns and a vintage feel like this Chinese Chest...
2. Adorable jewelry like this Teddy Bear necklace from Tous (on my Teddy Bear, a gift from my Dad from long ago)...
3. Candles with beautiful designs and an even yummier fragrance...
4. Sunglasses (below are from Jimmy Choo) in all colors and sizes - but the bigger the better!
5. And lip balm of all sorts... the more darling the packaging the better!

I just can't get enough of them!
