Ok so don't laugh but I thought I would change things up a bit and do an outfit post with a bit of a twist this week.  I fell head over heels for this pair of Iris Blue pumps and had fun thinking out of the box with what to pair them with. I also had this thing about making cake pops.

I bought a Babycakes cakepop maker and tried for the first time this weekend. As you can see, I need to hone my decorating skills...Nay, I need a cakepop class- Martha Stewart I am not... (FYI you need glaze not icing).  But nevermind reading the directions I say!

Nonetheless,  I took a cue from the colors of my cakepops to build an outfit for my shoes. This iris blue actually goes with a lot surprisingly- and with Spring around the corner one can easily find candy colored items, especially with cute patterns like flowers and birdies- my fave.

The weather has been somewhat cooperative too- no snow, no ice, not even much wind here in NJ lately...just plenty of sunshine.

Perfect for candy colored anything...
